For almost 2 years, Kim Richardson has served as the Chairman of the Board of the TTSAO. Through his 30 years’ experience in the educational industry in Commercial Driver Training, his involvement with numerous industry related boards and associations, he has been able to reposition the TTSAO.

With his contract as Chairman of the Board with the TTSAO ending on April 30, 2017, Richardson has decided to set his sights and professional aspirations on becoming the next TTSAO President. Kim was a co-founder of the TTSAO in 1993 and was inspirational in shaping the direction of the TTSAO in the early years. Kim stepped away from the association for a few years to successfully pursue other business interests including becoming the Chairman of the Board for the Ontario Trucking Association-Allied Trade Division. Richardson was asked to come back in 2013 to help with a struggling TTSAO. He was quickly appointed to the board and made an instant impact as the Director of Communications and Public Relations. In June of 2015 Richardson was hired by the Current Board of Directors as the Chairman of the Board of the TTSAO.
Under Kim’s guidance and expertise, the association has grown beyond expectations both in revenue and in membership. The TTSAO has also become a respected organization and has been a regular participant in many government and industry events and meetings. The organization has been taken in a very positive direction with the assistance of key board of directors who Richardson encouraged to be appointed in the summer of 2016.The appointments included Ed Popkie, President of 5th Wheel Transportation, Kevin Pattison, President of NATT, Geoff Topping, Director of Human Resources Challenger Motor Freight, Charlie Charalambous Director of Client Services, Making Eligibility Easier and Mike Millian, President of the Private Motor Truck Council of Canada.

Together this group, along with other board members, attained many achievements. The work needs to continue and Kim Richardson appreciates all the hard work that has helped position the TTSAO as the voice of commercial driver training in the Province of Ontario. He believes with the continued efforts, if elected as President, the successes will continue. He has the time and expertise to make it happen.
