Over the years, I have been very fortunate to belong to many great organizations in the trucking industry. One of the groups that we get the most return for investment is the Truckload Carriers Association or better known as TCA.
TCA is the only national association whose sole focus is the truckload segment of the motor carrier industry. The TCA represents dry van, refrigerated, flatbed, intermodal container and end dump carriers operating in 48 states as well as Alaska, Mexico and Canada.
For many years our companies, KRTS, Transrep and The Rear View Mirror, have benefited big time from the TCA and I know many Canadian Carriers and associate members who feel the same way as I do. They see value and return on their membership for what TCA brings to them on a regular basis and TCA is affordable.
This year TCA is very fortunate to have Rob Penner as the TCA Chairman. Rob is the President of Bison Transport, a Canadian and a great ambassador for our industry. On October 18th TCA will be in Mississauga hosting an event, Bridging Border Barriers, sponsored by Freightliner. If you’re a carrier who would like to attend this event, TCA and Freightliner would love to have you as their guest.
It’s going to be an exciting morning with some respected industry folks. At the time of this blog, David Bradley, John Lybolt, Wendell Erb and Geoff Topping have all committed to bring their expertise to the table. The key topic of discussion will be Bridging Border Barriers. If you’re in trucking and crossing the border this is a don’t miss event.
Chris Henry will also be attending from TCA InGauge to discuss benchmarking in trucking and the benefits of being involved in benchmarking your business with other like minded companies. All this packed into a FREE session for carriers only and is powered by Freightliner! The event will take place at the Capital Banquet Centre in Mississauga and is guaranteed to wrap up by noon.
