I still learn everyday and I’d like to be able to help the new drivers entering this great Industry. My father always said ” the day you think you know it all, is the day you need to hang up your keys ” My Love and Passion for the trucking industry made me realize that if I remained silent on issues important to me then I have no room to complain . I’ve 27 yrs in the Transportation Industry, the last 17 yrs in a Big Truck. I started in a school bus while my children were young. Then I drove a coach for a few years. Then I went into a straight truck driving Canada and the USA. Then I followed my dreams into a big truck. I drove solo for a couple of years and my husband decided to get his license and we’ve been driving team ever since. I’ve been employed by Sharp Transportation Systems Inc for the over 12 yrs.

I just want to help women get into the trucking industry .

By focusing on :

  • Advocacy…
  • Mentoring…
  • Networking…
  • Empowerment…
  • Education…
  • Camaraderie…
  • Pride and Passion in what we do

The more creative we get about how to support and celebrate women in the trucking industry, the more we can guarantee we’re making history. For too many years women have assumed (hoped) that their accomplishments will speak for themselves. It’s important to have a group of women around for advice, guidance, networking, and emotional support.

Many women are looking for independence, the ability to travel and a good income. This is the one industry where one road can lead to another. You can travel as far as you want to go.

Let’s not compete with other people in the industry, but rather collaborate with them.  The Women’s Trucking Federation of Canada needs your input and financial support. This is not just an organization, but a network. We hope that you will join us.
