Executives from Canada and US motor carriers will gather at the Lionhead Golf Club and Conference Center in Mississauga, Ontario on November 14 for Bridging Border Barriers, an exclusive half-day event from the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) featuring conversations on cross-border commerce between the two countries.
During the event, Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’a (CVSA) Director of Roadside Inspections Programs: Kerri Wirachowsky will speak about the roadside inspection process and what CVSA does to promote uniformity as well she will give an update on Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs).
TCA’s Vice President of Government Affairs: Dave Heller will present on the latest happenings in the regulatory & legislative environments and how TCA is poised to address them.
Following his remarks there will be a 30-minute networking session providing an opportunity for deeper conversations amongst the attendees.
TCA Profitability Program’s (TPP) Retention Coach Ray Haight will give an inside look into this benchmarking program which highlights more than 200 key performance indicators and helps carriers become more efficient and profitable. He will also give an overview of TCA’s new employee/driver retention project plan which is a can’t miss discussion.
Challenger Motor Freight’s Vice President Human Resources, Geoff Topping, will moderate a panel discussion featuring Ontario Trucking Association’s President & Canadian Trucking Alliance’s Chairman Stephen Laskowski, Bison Transport’s Chief Operating Officer Trevor Fridfinnson and Kriska Transportation’s President Mark Seymour. The panel will discuss current and potential cross-border issues, the USA/Canada/Mexico Trade Agreement, marijuana transportation, sleeper birth flexibility, ELDs, size and weight tec.
