I still learn everyday and I’d like to be able to help the new drivers entering this great Industry. My father always said ” the day you think you know it all, is the day you need to hang up your keys ” My Love and Passion for the trucking industry made me realize that if I remained silent on issues important to me then I have no room to complain . I’ve 27 yrs in the Transportation Industry, the last 17 yrs in a Big Truck. I started in a school bus while my children were young. Then I drove a coach for a few years. Then I went into a straight truck driving Canada and the USA. Then I followed my dreams into a big truck. I drove solo for a couple of years and my husband decided to get his license and we’ve been driving team ever since. I’ve been employed by Sharp Transportation Systems Inc for the over 12 yrs.

Firstly I would like to thank everyone for their support during these last few months. The calls, emails and texts meant a lot as I struggled to make sense of my new normal. The road hasn’t been easy but I know brighter days are ahead. A special thank you to my Sharp family who have always had my back; together we are moving forward.

As many of you know the Women’s Trucking Federation of Canada recently had a trailer wrapped to help both the provincial and federal governments raise awareness to the impact of Stay Home, Save Lives #FlattenTheCurve  . This was made possible by our industry partners: Big Rig Wraps Transport Truck Advertising, Purple Door Creative, Armour Insurance Brokers, Sharp Transportation Systems Inc., and Toronto Digital Imaging. This rolling billboard is our effort to help support our healthcare workers, while spreading a critical message. The wrap itself is a brilliantly and colorfully designed piece which will hopefully inspire communities to work together in this endeavor while adding a smile to the faces of those who see it.

So who’s pulling this trailer?  Where will it go?  Destiny Star and I will hit the road next week, pulling this trailer across North America. You can follow our journey on the WTFC social media platforms and stay tuned as I post live videos and pictures along the way.  #DestinyStarsJourney
