The Government of Canada unveiled Supply Hub, a new online portal that will link buyers and sellers of personal protective equipment and provide guidance to Canadians.

The Canadian Trucking Alliance applauds the Government of Canada and the Honourable Anita Anand, Minister of Public Services and Procurement, for their collective leadership on this project.

“As an essential service industry, the ability to source PPE and secure availability is critical. The establishment of the Supply Hub by Minster Anand will assist our members who continue to move Canada’s supply chain during the COVID-19 crisis,” said CTA President Stephen Laskowski. “We thank Minister Anand for her efforts and ongoing commitment to assist our sector in securing PPE.”

The demand for PPE product is expected to increase with the reopening of the economy and the Government of Canada is taking prudent action by creating the Supply Hub to meet Canadians’ needs, added Laskowski.

“Across the country, efforts are underway to ease restrictions implemented to fight COVID-19,” said Minister Anand. “This Supply Hub reflects our pan-Canadian approach and assembles a wealth of resources and information so that organizations have a single window to assist them in buying or selling personal protective equipment.”
