The Truck Training Schools Association of Ontario’s (TTSAO) is happy to announce the appointment of Gerald Carroll, Operations and Safety Manager for Wesbell Logistics, as the interim chairperson of the TTSAO Carrier Group. Gerald has agreed to act as the chairperson of the group until the TTSAO Annual Meeting and elections in 2021.
The mandate of the TTSAO Carrier Group is to support the TTSAO in all efforts that will improve education, recruitment and retention for entry level
and existing Professional Drivers. The TTSAO Carrier Group works with the TTSAO Board of Directors and its membered schools to increase awareness and education in reference to the educational needs of all carriers both for
hire and private.
The TTSAO Carrier Group will be hosting their first meeting in partnership with the TTSAO Insurance Group. The meeting will be held virtually on
November 25th at 10 am.
Gerald Carroll said this about the meeting, “The Carrier Group is excited to announce a joint meeting with the Insurance Group to discuss best practices for finishing program as it associates to new drivers out of TTSAO Approved Schools. This is a great opportunity to bring together our carrier group members along with the insurance group so that we can all work collaboratively to discuss solutions and best practices”
Lisa Arseneau, TTSAO Insurance Group Chairperson says, “I am look forward to working with Gerald on
this meeting. Let’s ask some big questions like finishing program or finished driver? What are the pros
and cons and what does your insurer think?”
