New Brunswick announced that truck drivers are now exempt from the travel registration program coming into effect on Sept. 22.
The registration system, which requires all travellers to declare their vaccination status prior to entering the province, was announced last week with no traveller exemptions in place at that time.
The Atlantic Provinces Trucking Association (APTA) continued to work with provincial officials on the implications of this policy. The Canadian Trucking Alliance thanks the APTA for their work and communication on this issue.
Further details are available in section 5 (2) of the Public Health Act of New Brunswick regulations.
