Sunshifter ™️ is an amazing product that helps improve our environment while saving a fleet money on fuel costs. This innovative solution for the transportation industry seems to be very basic so you may be wondering how it all works together. After all the solution is made up of solar panels, power source, and communicator, not something you see everyday.

Let’s look at the solar panels first. This is an easily installed panel system that can be retrofitted to any existing trailer or truck allowing the sun to supply the power for the system. These solar panels install seamless with the trailer or truck and have a protective coating to keep them damage free and in good working order. There are no exposed wires and the panels are made of a special composite material allowing for a very low maintenance product.

The solar panels are connected to a series of batteries. This is your distribution system and is securely positioned to supply power to the truck or trailer in an efficient manner keeping your vehicle in service for as long as you need it. In fact our system is so robust that it creates 7kW of energy which is the largest solar powered solution in the trucking industry. You won’t be running out of power anytime soon.

How do you control the system? It’s easy to have power racing through your equipment but everything has to have an operator to ensure the system is working properly. This is where our unique technology comes in for Sunshifter ™️. The onboard mobile technology allows the user being the driver or fleet manager to view telematics on the system wirelessly from their location. It’s as easy as using your phone.

To recap we have solar panels bringing in energy from the sun. That energy is fed into a battery system producing electrical energy to power your equipment. That power is controlled by mobile technology allowing you to change settings and monitor your system in real time. The next question you may be asking is why should I consider this technology for my fleet?

There are a number of reasons why you may want to consider the Sunshifter ™️ for your fleet. First is operation costs, we all know that the price of fuel will keep rising over time and is already expensive for fleets. This system can save fleets over $20,000 annually in fuel costs. The more systems you implement the more savings you will see.

The environment is possibly the largest reason for change. We all have family and possibly future family that we want to enjoy the World the way we have in the past with lush green lands and beautiful blue waters. Switching to the Sunshifter ™️ system will reduce the carbon footprint for your fleet considerably helping to reduce climate change. Diesel fuel adds 600 million metric tonnes of CO2 emissions in North America from the trucking industry alone, 40 million metric tonnes is from units idling keeping loads temperature controlled.
