There is nothing more worrisome to a fleet manager than having refrigerated trailers running in the yard over a weekend. Did the driver fill the tank with fuel? Did the yard inspector remember to check that trailer and record that level? Did the refrigeration unit stop for some other reason such as a bad fan belt, overheating, or other mechanical problem? As a manager you are always hoping something hasn’t gone wrong when equipment is left alone.

There may not be real time troubleshooting for many mechanical issues, but there are solutions for trailers equipped with solar electric technology. Currently you are relying on that fuel to keep your refrigeration unit operating. Fuel to the engine, powers the electric motor. With SunShifter solar technology there is no fuel to worry about as the power is initiated by the sun.  A free resource. The Sun power charges the batteries which makes the motor run.  On a cloudy day when the sun is not as strong, the solar potential drops but the batteries continue to charge.  The equipment is sized to a fleets usage requirements so you can operate the equipment without having to worry about how much fuel is left in the tank.
