The Private Motor Truck Council of Canada has announced it’s 2023 Western regional seminar as part of its series of cross-country educational half day conferences. The seminar will be held on Thursday November 16th in Calgary at the Four Points by Sheraton Calgary Airport.

Registration and breakfast will start at 8:00am, with the educational portion of the seminar running from 8:30am to 12:30pm, with lunch provided after.

The event will cover many topics that are at the forefront of the Trucking Industry.

Topics

Alberta Transportation & economic corridors division will discuss a varied array of topics that motor carriers should be aware of when it comes to complying with regulations and how they are being enforced in Alberta.  

Alberta Labour & Immigration Supply Chain logistics will discuss current workforce Transportation Grants among other specialty programs designed to help the Transportation industry obtain and train workers.  

The AMTA will provide an update on alternative fueled low & zero emission heavy duty vehicles.

Enviro Apps will present on Transportation of Dangerous Goods Digital documents and how transforming form paper based to digital can improve compliance efficiency and reduce costs.  

We will wrap things up with a panel of 3 fleet safety representatives discussing programs that they have implemented into their fleets that have improved safety and efficiency. After the presentations, a moderated panel will delve deeper into the programs, how they were implemented & lessons learned along the way. The audience will also have a chance to ask questions of the experts as well.  See attached for full agenda.
