KRTS Launches Preferred Supplier Program

February 3, 2014. – Caledonia, On. – The trucking industry is supported by great suppliers and without them the industry would not survive. All of the suppliers play a very important role in the success of all facets of a trucking company. For new, and sometimes even existing drivers who work within those companies, finding the proper supplier for their needs can be difficult. Aligning with the KRTS Preferred Partner Program and the Preferred Carrier Program, KRTS has launched the Preferred Supplier Program to help assist drivers to connect with the resources they need.

Verduyn Tarps and Old Republic Insurance of Canada are the first two suppliers to be involved in the Preferred Supplier Program. Both companies have strong roots within the transportation industry and both have excellent reputations with the industry and their customers.

Verduyn Tarps was founded in 1986, has multiple locations in Ontario and Michigan and is a leader in the securing and tarping sector of the transportation industry. Offering much more than just tarps, they are a “1 Stop Shop” for all of your trucking needs.   Verduyn Tarps has agreed to supply KRTS’ clients with a fifty dollar ($50.00) gift card to be used at any of their locations. Larry Labelle, Regional Sales Manager, was thrilled to get involved with the new program. He said, “We saw this as a great opportunity to develop relationships and assist drivers that are new to the industry.  We see ourselves as a leader in the transportation industry, and partnering with a company as reputable as KRTS only made sense.”

For close to two decades Old Republic Insurance Company of Canada has built its own reputation for unparalleled products and services. They partner with independent brokers that specialize in truck insurance. Old Republic works closely with its sister company Great West Casualty to supply a network of services across North America via six regional offices.   Old Republic will be supplying KRTS clients with a customized Motor Carrier Road Atlas that also includes a wide variety of useful resources, with sections including North American Regulations, Hazardous Materials Facts sheet, Incident and Response, Fuel Taxes, Provincial and State Contact numbers as well as on-the-road resources for hotels, police, load and weight restrictions and much more.
