The Truck Training Schools Association of Ontario (TTSAO) is pleased to announce that Philip Fletcher has been named President of the Association. The announcement was officially made at the TTSAO’s 6th Annual Conference that recently took place on July 26-27, 2022. Philip officially stepped into the role on August 1, 2022.

Philip, who has been serving with the TTSAO Board of Directors since 2017, has been working with the industry since 2003 – starting as a professional driver, then the Operations Manager for the Commercial Heavy Equipment Training (CHET) in Ontario.

Fletcher recalls looking back and seeing all the TTSAO members and Conference attendees coming together to celebrate the industry, and all that it stands for, and feeling grateful to be a part of the ‘bigger picture.’

“The Conference was amazing – by far, a tremendous success. The attendees, sponsors, speakers – everyone whom was in attendance – brought the event to life, and we are truly grateful to everyone who helped make this year’s event a reality. Looking ahead, I see that our future is bright,” says Fletcher. “Thank you to Kim Richardson and the Board for making the TTSAO all that it stands for today. Your vision for our Association and the membership came to life, and I am truly grateful to take the next steps toward our shared vision for our industry.”

Kim Richardson, who co-founded the TTSAO in 1993, describes his time at the TTSAO to be an ‘amazing experience and honour’ and is grateful for all the men and women who have invested their time and energy into making the TTSAO what it is today.

“My time at the TTSAO has been absolutely amazing. Looking back at when we started and where we’re at today, I am so proud of all we’ve achieved. Thank you to all our members and the Board for volunteering your expertise and time. You are all true champions of the TTSAO and the reason for its success,” says Richardson. “Thank you to my family: my wife, partner, and best friend Lisa, who has supported me every step of the way on this journey, and my children, Jamie and Matt, who are leading the future of the transportation industry with honesty, integrity and our core value: people. People are at the heart of everything we do and our relationships here at the TTSAO reflect how the power of people and strength in numbers can make a difference. Thank you to everyone for your part in making the TTSAO a great success.”

Richardson remains as President of Kim Richardson Transportation Specialists Inc. and TransRep, Inc.
